Welsh Schools Cross Country Team Selections

Very many congratulations to the following club athletes who have been selected to represent the Welsh Schools team in the British Schools Cross Country International at Perth, Scotland on Saturday 31st March.

FREE Level 1 UKA Assistant Officials Qualification

Swansea Harriers has a large team of very dedicated volunteer officials that help the club fulfill its commitments in all its league, cup and championship fixtures on and off track throughout the year. However we really need many more officials to be able to host fixtures and field a team of officials in away fixtures.

Results Home Countries Cross Country International & Atlantic College 10k

Sunday 18th March was the Home Countries Cross Country International at Rouken Glen, Glasgow, Scotland, the athletes had been selected to represent, Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland and incorporated into the event was a schools U20 International team. Very many congratulations to all those who took part and were selected to represent Wales or Welsh Schools.

West Glamorgan Primary Schools Cross Country Final

Thursday 22nd March is the West Glamorgan Primary Schools Athletics Association Cross Country County Final at Ashleigh Road, Swansea.
 

World University Cross Country Championships in Lodz, POLAND

Very many congratulations to Dewi Griffiths who has been selected in his second year as a student at Swansea University to compete for the Great Britain Universities team in Lodz, Poland in the World University Cross Country Championships which are only held once every two years.

Wales team announced for Home Countries Cross Country International

Very many congratulations to those Swansea Harriers athletes who have been selected for the Wales team to compete in the Home Countries Cross Country International against Scotland, Ireland and England at Glasgow on 18th March; Dewi Griffiths and Marc Hobbs in the Senior Men,

Results UK Inter Counties Cross Country Championships

Saturday 10th March were the UK Inter Counties Cross Country Championships at Birmingham, where all the UK's top off track athletes were competing representing their counties. The club had several of athletes selected to represent West Wales which is an achievement in itself, in what is one of the largest and toughest cross county races each year.

TESCOS vouchers for schools and clubs

Swansea Harriers will be collecting Tesco's vouchers for schools and clubs. Vouchers are available from 12th March to 20th May in stores. Over the last few years the club has collected over 100,000 vouchers which have been used to purchase much needed equipment for the club. Please donate any vouchers you collect this year to Swansea Harriers. You can hand in vouchers on any club night.

UK Games U17 Welsh Schools Team Announced

Very many congratulations and the best of luck to the following Swansea Harriers athletes who have been selected to represent the Welsh Schools U17 International team to compete in the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday 9th May as one of the test events before the Olympic Games.
