Results Round Up (UK Sportshall final and USA)

Sunday 7th April saw the Afan Nedd Tawe schools U13G Sportshall team compete in the UK Sportshall final in the LG arena NEC Birmingham, it was all the girls first experience of a UK final and the level of opposition proved to be very tough as expected, however all the girls improved on their performances in the Welsh final at Cwmbran and were very competitive to finish in 11th place form the 12 school district teams competing.

During the month of April there will be 2 British Athletics Officials Qualifications held in West Wales open to volunteers from all clubs.

 

Swansea to host the International Paralympic European Athletics Championships in August 2014

Who from Swansea Harriers will be competing at the cross country International?

All roads lead to Llandeilo this Saturday 23rd March for the final cross country fixture of the year. 2013 is the one-year-in-four that Welsh Schools hosts the SIAB Schools’ cross country international – the annual fixture which brings together the top eight runners, boys and girls, at junior (years 8 & 9) and middle (years 10 & 11) from English Schools, All-Ireland Schools, Scottish Schools and our own emerging youngsters.

Road Relays Results

Sunday 17th March were the Welsh Road Relay Championships in Llandow and it was a very successful day for the club:

Race 1 was a straight 1400m for Primary School Boys, and it was yet another podium finish for Nathan Jones in 3rd place, Ben Cooper made a fine effort and was the only other club athlete in 31st.
