Don't miss the closing date for the West Wales Indoor Athletics Championships at Swansea on 12th & 13th January

Once again we would like to wish a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone associated with the club. However for an even happier New Year by avoiding a text from your coaches first thing in the morning on New Years Day, to tell you that there is less than 24H before the closing date of 5pm on Wednesday 2nd January for the West Wales Indoor Athletics Championships at Swansea University over the weekend of 12th & 13th January 2019, please enter now!
To compete athletes must be affiliated to Welsh Athletics via their club and have eligibility of A and or B, no guest athletes are permitted.
A - Birth; the athlete having been born in West Wales (Dyfed or West Glamorgan)
B - Residence; a minimum of 9 months continuous residence in West Wales immediately prior to this event.
This is a great event with athletes of all abilities, a great introduction to athletics competitions, with very friendly and helpful judges, especially for those that have not competed before, so give it a go!
The Long, Triple & High Jumps along with Pole Vault are being held on the Saturday, with Shot, 60m Sprint and 60m Hurdles on the Sunday. For a provisional timetable of events and to enter online follow this link;

In charge of finding judges is Iona & Islas dad Donald Melrose, his Christmas List is much longer than Andrews and is as follows: 4 sand pit rakers, 2 high jump bar put back oners, 2 pole vault bar put back oners, 2 shot put collectors, 3 helpers for the photo finish team, 2 helpers to walk the athletes to the start line, and as many UKA qualified officials in field judging, track judging and time keeping as possible.
