Remaining Primary & Secondary Schools Matches & Great Britain Vests

Is it possible to progress through all the West Glamorgan Primary & Afan Nedd Tawe Secondary schools and junior club fixtures to Great Britain Vests? Well yes it is, very many congratulations to U23M Jospeh Brier and his big sister U23W Hannah Brier who have both been named in the relay squads for the European Under-23 Championships which will be held in Gavle, Sweden from 11-14 July.

Way back in the olden days of 2007 onwards Joseph & Hannah would have been competing in these fixtures too, in fact their old Primary Castell Nedd has made it to the best team final on 10th July below:

Monday 1st July 1pm to 3pm @ Swansea University. West Glamorgan Primary Schools Top Individuals Finals. This fixture is also being judged by our U17 & U20 athletes that have completed their exams, its great to see them giving back to the sport, lets hope they're not too strict! Qulaification was achived via the eight area sports group stages held during school hours in June 2019. This fixture will be used to select a year 5/6 team to represent West Glamorgan V Dyfed Schools on Wednesday 17th July 5pm to 7pm @ Swansea University.

Saturday 6th July 11am to 7pm @ Cardiff, CF11 8AZ an Afan Nedd Tawe U15, U17 & U20 Team compete against the other seven schools districts in the Welsh Schools Championships. The Afan Nedd Tawe team was largely selected on the results of their championships held back on Wednesday 1st May. A full match program for Saturday 6th July including a list of athletes entered can be found on this link. The U17 have a lot to play for as this championship will form the basis of selection for the Welsh U17 team to compete against England, Ireland and Scotland which is being held at Swansea University on Saturday 20th July.

Wednesday 10th July are the Welsh Schools U14 & U16 Cup & Plate Finals held at 12pm to 5pm in Brecon, LD3 9SR.
