There have been lots and lots of fixtures for us to catch up with the results of, here is a brief summary of some key performances;
 
Wednesday 1st May was the Run 4 All 5km at Aberavon just the two runners took part, with an awesome win for Marc Davies (17.30) followed home by 5th Gabrielius Stuokus (18.37) despite having spent the entire day on his feet track judging in the schools championships below! Well done both!
 
 
Wednesday 1st May were the Afan Nedd Tawe U15 U17 & U20 Schools and Colleges Athletics Championships held at Swansea University. There was a great turnout of 21 schools/colleges. Highlights included 11 championship records all set by Swansea Harriers club members; 
U15G Katie Lake (9.02m) Triple Jump & Millie Carter (2.90m) Pole Vault.
U15B Joshua Aka (11.4) 100m; Zac Davies (11.8) 80m Hurdles & William Trott (3.80m) Pole Vault.
U17M Joshua Wilton (40.45m) Discus; Thomas Payne (10.8) 100m & Charlie Holland (51.5) 400m.
U20W Lara Spacey (43.58m) Hammer
U20M Tomos Slade (13.6) 110m Hurdles & Ieuan Hosgood (4.30m) Pole Vault.

Wednesday 1st May was the Welsh Athletics Middle distance only open meeting at Cwmbran where SM Paul Tobin ran (1.57.80) for 800m and U15B Charlie Harris (2.21.10) 800m.
 
 
Saturday 4th May to Monday 6th May were the British Universities Track & Field Championships held at Bedford. It was great to see so many of our members making their university teams. Highlights included overall top performances in each event discipline from:
 
Men: Ben Paris (21.80) 200m & 5th in the final; Joseph Brier (48.92) 400m and 7th in the final; Jonathan Tobin (3.54.85) 1500m; Rhodri Williams (56.64) 400m Hurdles; Osaze Aghedo (15.40m) Triple Jump & GOLD in the Final! Fynley Caudery (4.15m) Pole Vault and Conor Smith (14.57.56) 5000m
 
Women: Hannah Brier (24.53) & 5th in the final; Izzy Parry-Jones (4.38.13) 1500m; Lauren Williams (61.87) 400m Hurdles & BRONZE in the final!; Macey Jones (10.73m) Triple Jump; Sophie Hutchinson (4.00m) Long Jump and Carys Jones (3.50m) Pole Vault.
 
 
Saturday 4th May was round 1 of 4 in the U11, U13 & U15 Welsh Junior League at Haverfordwest incorporating the Gerald Codd Trophy Match. It was a great day for Swansea Harriers who won both the league match and trophy with an excellent turnout of athletes.
Individual highlights included wins for:
U11B Ruari Harris (10.90) 75m & (22.5) 150m; Toby Jones, Ruari Harris, Jack Edwards & Henry Payne (62.7) 4 x 100m and Macsen Holland (6.99m) Shot & (16.99m) Javelin.
U13G Ffion Clarke (29.10) 200m; Matilda Quick (13.70) 70m Hurdles; Olivia Mackey (1.30m) High Jump and Lily Ford (8.25m) Shot & (22.92m) Discus.
U13B David Ejimofor (13.20) 100m & (1.40m) High Jump & (8.17m) Shot; Oliver Patterson (2.33.0) 800m; Reuben De Vall (13.50) 75m Hurdles; Drew Dodd, Reuben De Vall, Jenson Morris & David Ejimofor (56.40) 4 x 100m and Drew Dodd (4.25m) Long Jump.
U15G Katelyn Thomas (12.1) 75m Hurdles.
U15B Aled Tumelty (4.48.00) 1500m and George Snaith (40.64m) Javelin.
 
 
Saturday 4th May was the British Milers club grand prix at Street where four athletes ran; U17W Darcie Bass (2.24.99) 800m; U15B Charlie Harris (4.38.52) 1500m; U15G Ella Davies (5.04.50) 1500m & U15G Mai Davies (5.18.19) 1500m.
 
 
Sunday 5th May was round 1 of 3 in the U17 & U20 Youth Development League held at Swansea and the team were absolutely superb gaining 2nd place against some very big cubs and composite teams. A massive well done and thanks to entire squad an amazing all round team effort. Individual highlights included A string wins for:
U17M Thomas Payne (11.36) 100m & (22.72) 200m; Ryan Price, Thomas Payne, George Dun & Sam Petherbridge (3.59.42) 4 x 400m; Noah Osborne (3.35m) Pole Vault and Joshua Wilton (49.30m) Javelin.
U17W Niamh Jones (43.76) 300m; Darcie Bass (5.04.17) 1500m; Iona Melrose, Carys Dickinson, Danai Mugabe & Niamh Jones (3.02.38) 4 x 300m; Cassey Grimwade (46.86m) Hammer and Jamie Holland (37.75m) Javelin.
U20M Steffan Jones (49.40) 400m; Tomos Slade (14.55) 110m Hurdles; Steffan Jones, Ieuan Hosgood, Tomos SladeIwan Beggs (3.43.34) 4 x 400m and Ieuan Hosgood (4.30m) Pole Vault.
U20W Gabrielle Fakande (25.66) 200m and Bronwen Stratton-Thomas (5.49.82) 1500m Steeplechase. 
 
 
Sunday 5th May was the Newport 10km where Daniel Rothwell set a lifetime best placing a superb 3rd in (30.38) and he was followed home by 6th Phil Matthews (32.06) having a great run too for a top 10 placing.
 
 
Sunday 5th May was also the Newport Marathon where in the Men first home was 39th Daniel Otteson (2.53.33); 52nd John Breslin (2.55.33); 133rd Luke Davies (3.06.57); 140th Mark Rabaiotti (3.07.45) and 629th Edward Cullen (3.45.38).
Women: having a superb run for 2nd was Alaw Beynon-Thomas (2.58.06); equally impressive runs came from 4th was Llinos Jones (3.07.36) and 5th Luticia Thomas (3.11.50).
 
 
Sunday 5th May was the Cardiff 5km incorporating the Welsh Championships. In the Men; Jonathan Hopkins had great run for 3rd and Welsh SILVER in (14.20); just one place behind in 4th and Welsh BRONZE was Guy Smith (14.29) they were followed home by 10th Marc Hobbs (14.47); 16th Dominic Smith (15.11) and Dafyd Jay (15.48) completing our top 5.
Women: there was a BRONZE for Elinor Kirk (16.30); followed home by 5th Sophie Harris (16.44); 8th Caryl Jones (16.58) and 20th Sian Kirk (18.57).
Well done to all those who ran from the club on such a great set of results.
 
 
Meanwhile elsewhere…………………… SW Gemma Seaman runs (41.19) in the Bristol 10km; SM Kristian Jones wins the Scottish 5km Road Race Championships in an impressive (14.27); U15G Hannah Kinane runs (2.20.73) for 800m at Wormwood Scrubs.
