Results Round Up From Cardiff & Bristol

Sunday 4th December was the Welsh Athletics Indoor Open meeting for the U13, U15 & U17 age groups in Cardiff, and the club was very well represented especially in the U13 age group. Many thanks to all those who attended many of whom were having their first ever experience of competitive athletics. Highlights included top performances in each event from:
U17M Tomos Slade (24.01) 200m & (1.76m) High Jump; Joshua Gray (58.86) 400m and Jack Spiller (10.87m) Triple Jump.
U17W Jaden Grove (31.13) 200m and Charlotte Campion (9.34m) Triple Jump.
U15B George Dun (25.69) 200m & (11.15m) Shot.
U15G Jamie Holland (29.31) 200m; Emily Collins (1.30m) High Jump & Ella Evans (1.30m) High Jump and Tiana Evans (4.35m) Long Jump.
U13B Joshua Kenny (29.83) 200m; Jay Jardine (1.20m) High Jump & Luke Baker (1.20m) High Jump and Nathan Jones (5.00m) Shot.
U13G Lexi Allen (31.03) 200m & (3.69m) Long Jump; Shanya Bray-Davies (1.20m) High Jump & Megan Gwyther (1.20m) High Jump.
Sunday 5th December was round 3 of 5 in the Gwent Cross Country League at Blaise Castle, Bristol. Despite having record numbers of members unfortunately very few athletes were representing the club, nevertheless what we lacked in quantity we made up for in quality!
In the senior men Angus Maclean had a superb run for 3rd, Charles Walsh was 99th, Owen Davies was 209th and evergreen and ever reliable Simon Merrick 309th this wasn’t enough to finish a full team, the team slip down the league table to 9th.
Senior Ladies there was another incomplete team with just the two representatives; first home was Jemima Osborn in 20th and followed across the line by 23rd Helen Marshall, the team are now rooted to the bottom of the league.
In the junior races the U11B scoring 4 were 33rd Dafydd King, 64th Harry Collins, 74th Harry Thomas and 86th Morgan Willis; the team are placed 12th in the league. 
The U11G had a team and a half, with Eleri Reed leading the way in 33rd, who was followed home by 38th Caitlin Evans, 43rd Gemma Hale and completing the A team 47th Kaitlyn Jones. For the B runners Amelie Brownhill came home in 59th with 63rd Lily Wade. The team are doing well in 6th in the league.
The U13B there were 3 finishers; 11th Iwan White; 53rd Ben Sullivan and 60th Joseph Beresford. The team are doing alright at 8th place in the league.
U13G Abbie Hall was all on her own putting in a great effort for 48th. The team now slip to 9th in the league.
U15G were on top form once again this season, with Caitlin Gwyther having a superb run for 1st place, as was Ashleigh Willis two places behind in 3rd; not far behind where 21st Bronwen Stratton-Thomas; and 44th Eve Bevan. The team have a lead of 29 points at the top of the league.
No U15B, U17W, U17M, U20W or U20M ran.
