Sunday 27th January saw round 4 of 5 in the West Glamorgan Cross Country League held in freezing winds and heavy underfoot conditions in Margam Park. There was another great showing from our members with our top 5 Women and Men runners across the line as follows;
Women 1st (again!) Helen Marshall, with Gemma Seaman in 2nd and 5th Rebecca Bennett all having incredibly strong runs breaking into the top 10, they were ably supported by 19th Jenny Mcadie and 52nd Kelly Gipson. The team hold onto top spot in the league.
Men: first home for the club was the ever reliable 11th Ifan Lloyd, just one place behind was 12th Daniel Morgan; 17th Wayne Bowen, 23rd Martyn Hughes-Dowdle and 25th Paul Flynn. The mens runners are split across a couple of teams both placed mid table.
Very well done to everyone who ran from the club in such difficult weather conditions, click here for the full results.
Meanwhile elsewhere……………………… Bethany Kennedy run (24.93) for 200m at Lee Valley, London. Monday 28th February was an interesting new format for selecting juniors to represent Wales at the London Mini Marathon held at Carmarthen, no results are available at this time but once they are we will report on this in the next results round up.
