Results Round Up From Glasgow & Cwmavon

Wales U16B Combined Events Sam P & Charlie H

Saturday 3rd November saw two Swansea Harriers athletes selected to represent Wales U16 at the British Schools Indoor Combined Events Pentathlon at Glasgow V England V Ireland V Scotland. It was a day of mixed fortunes for the boys with Sam Petherbridge amassing 2869 points to 10th individually overall and team BRONZE on route setting lifetime bests in the Long Jump (5.81m) and 800m (2.12.39); lady luck wasn't  on Charlie Hollands side on this occasion and was unable to complete the 5 disciplines, however he still played a key part in winning the team BRONZE award and set a lifetime best in the Long Jump (5.59m), we are sure he has an excellent chance to make the team again next year and will complete some unfinished business! Very many congratulations to both on their deserved international call ups, click here for the full results.
