Results Round Up From Manchester, Newport, Sweden, Brechfa, St Clears & Cardiff

Wednesday 14th August at Sport City, Manchester was an athletics international incorporating the Home Countries International. Representing Wales were two Swansea Harriers, SW Elinor Kirk was had a fine win over 3000m in (9.28.30) and SW Lauren Williams was 5th in the 400m Hurdles in (59.38). U20M Steffan Jones had a guest spot in the 400m placing 4th in (49.45). Congratulations to all three, especially Elinor & Lauren on their Welsh representative honours. Wednesday 14th August was the final welsh milers club held at Newport, in seeded and pace maker races, our overall top performer in each age group and event were:
800m; SM Paul Tobin (1.54.95); U20M Nathan Jones (2.03.15); U15B Tom Attwood (2.09.02); SW Abigayle Goodrick-Latham (2.21.99).
1500m U15B Charlie Harris (4.31.83); U17W Ashleigh Willis (4.50.82); SW Sian Kirk (4.50.86).

Friday 16th August saw SM Dai Greene in action for the 2nd time this year placing 2nd in the Folskam Grand Prix at Gotherburg, Sweden over 400m Hurdles in (50.05) edging ever closer to the World Athletics Championships standard of (49.3). Saturday 17th August SM Gabrielius Stukus was our sole runner at the Brechfa Trail running races where he put in an excellent performance to win the 5km in (21.25) well done Gab!
 
 
Sunday 18th August was the TROTS 10km road race at St Clears. Two Swansea Harriers ran, first home was Paul Flynn in 8th (38.41), followed home by 26th Owen Davies (43.02). Well done both, click here for the full results.
 
 
Wednesday 20th August was the Cardiff Throws only fixture, where our top performers in each age group and event were;
