Results Round Up From Margam, Brunel, Cardiff, Pontypridd & Loughborough

The full results for round 5 of 6 in the West Glamorgan Cross Country league held back on Sunday 28th January are now available. There was another excellent turnout from the club of over 30 runners in misty and muddy conditions at Margam Park over a multi terrain route. In the mens race our first five runners home were, having a great run for 4th James Dean, also breaking into the top 10 was super vet Ifan Lloyd in 8th and just behind in 10th John Moran, making up our top 5 were 13th Craig Jones and 23rd Raul Reismann. The ladies were once again on top form claiming the top 3 places at the finish with storming runs from 1st Hannah Munday, 2nd Helen Marshall and 3rd Claire Bunce, Abigayle Goodrick-Latham was just 2 places behind in 5th and just 1 second behind her was 6th placed Helen Marie-Davies. There are no updated league tables available at this time, however we are confident that our ladies after such a fantastic opening 5 rounds have their league all but sown up as long as they get five finishers in round 6 on 4th March at Aberavon. We think it will be a much tighter affair for the mens team where they will need another strong showing on 4th March. Click here for the full results.
