Results Round Up From Monmouth & Cwmavon

Saturday 4th November were the Welsh Cross Country relays at Monmouth with it being the half term holidays and with a number of other fixtures coming up being prioritized, the club only fielded a few teams this year. Kaitlyn Jones was a fine 11th in the opening primary races. There was just the one junior team which was our U13G who had a great run to place 6th with the quartet of Ella Davies, Abbie Hall, Ffion Hennessy & Mai Davies. Ella also set the fastest time of the 4 which was the 2nd fastest time of all the club runners. In the ladies there was just the one senior or master team from the club, and that was the MW35+ where they had a superb run to win by over a minute for team GOLD, with the trio of Helen Marshall, Diane Brownhill & Helen-Marie Davies, all 3 broke into the top 10 fastest individuals across all clubs with Helen Marshall being ranked 1st! There were also 2 MM35+ quartets entered with our A team coming home in BRONZE medal position, the team were Ifan Lloyd, Paul Flynn, Eamonn Kirk and Charles Walsh, 2 of which were in the fastest individuals across all clubs with Ifan being highest ranked in 4th overall.
