Wednesday 5th July was the Welsh Athletics 800m & 1500m Beat The Clock open meeting at Newport. In pace maker and graded races, lifetime bests were set by: U20M Dominic Smith (1.58.77) 800m; U20M Eliott Lawrence (2.01.60) 800m; U17M Steffan Jones (2.03.80) 800m; U17W Mollie Jones (2.17.04) 800m; U13G Ella Davies (2.28.39) 800m; U13G Tiffany Rees (2.29.75) 800m; U13G Mai Davies (2.45.45) 800m and SM Keiron White (3.57.29) 1500m. Sunday 9th July was the Ammanford 10K where Marc Hobbs had a great run to win in a time of (34.40), Marc was followed across the line by Eamonn Kirk in 5th place (37.38); 31st Heath Brett (44.17) and 69th Sian Phillips (50.38). Congratulations to all 4, click here for the full results.
 
Sunday 9th July was round 3 of 4 in the Welsh U11, U13 & U15 League at home in Swansea. There was a huge entry of over 500 athletes across the 9 clubs and a great days athletics was had by all. Very many thanks to the volunteers from all clubs for giving up their free time, as well as on the day there is much hard work behind the scenes to make the event happen. It was a great win for the club too, extending their lead at the top of the league table, with highlights from individuals winning their events overall from:

Wednesday 5th July at the Belfast Athletics International, representing Wales Lemarl Freckleton runs (10.93) for 5th in the 100m and brand new member U20M Tyler Williams is one place behind in (11.11). Saturday 8th July at the BMC Grand Prix at Loughborough Jack Gooch runs (3.49.96) for 1500m in 7th, and Matthew Richards sets a lifetime best of (4.03.07) over 1500m placing 10th.
