Results Round Up From Pembrey & Belfast

Saturday 9th November saw round 2 of 5 in the Gwent Cross Country League incorporating the West Wales Championships for all age groups held at Pembrey Country Park. The heavy rain fortunately stopped in time for the first race and didn’t start again until towards the end of the senior men’s race. There was another good turnout, thanks to all those who ran and to the team managers for rounding them all up. Our scoring runners in each race were:
 
U11B: 18th Solomon Baker; 29th Oliver Banwell-Clode; 68th Luca Rimmer-Simoncini and 71st Woody Jelf, the team are 17th in the league.
 
U11G: 3rd Libby Hale and West Wales SILVER!; 5th Chloe Hartley-Green; 12th Millie Pierce and 29th Lola Cannon, the team are doing really well on top the league table!
 
U13B: 12th Oliver Patterson; 25th Steffan Higgins; 55th Calum Johns and 67th Saul Otteson, the team are 10th in the league.
 
U13G: 12th Kaitlyn Jones and West Wales SILVER!; 23rd Sophie Hartley-Green; 29th Ava Davies and 37th Carys Hennessey. The team are 6th in the league.
 
U15B: 4th Aled Tumelty and West Wales SILVER!; 17th Tom Attwood; 34th Dafydd King and 38th Matthew Lewis. The team are in a podium place in 3rd in the league!
 
U15G an incomplete team of just 19th Mai Davies but she did win West Wales BRONZE! The team are 15th in the league.
 
U17M: 35th Rhys Nicholas and 47th Miles Hill, the team are 22nd in the league.
 
U17W: No runners.
 
U20M: an awesome win for Nathan Jones and gaining West Wales GOLD in the process! 16th William Arnold, the team are 11th in the league.
 
U20W no runners.

SM: Our second win of the day came from Morgan Davies, followed home by 15th Angus McLean and West Wales SILVER!; 33rd James Dean; 56th Will Munday; 120th Daniel Otteson and 162nd Thomas Guest. The team are top of division 2 and will be endeavouring to be promoted to division 1 by season end.

SW: A hattrick of individual wins was completed by Alaw Beynon-Thomas and she won West Wales GOLD!; followed home by 10th Steph Lawrie; 17th Rachel Davies; 20th Abigayle Goodrick-Latham and 21st Llinos Jones. The team are doing really well in 2nd in division 1.
 
 
 
Saturday 9th November saw Wales field a team in the Northern Ireland & Ulster championships at Belfast, one of whom was our own Olivia Gwynn having a great run for 6th, well done Olivia!
