Results Round Up From Pembrey, Brecon and British & Welsh Athletics Funded Athletes

Sunday 18th November was the Sospan Road Runners 10 Mile Multi Terrain race at Pembrey Country Park, for a seniors it was their 2nd visit to the park in as many weeks, but this time the weather conditions were much improved. We had 6 runners participating with Raul Reismann coming home first for the club in 9th place, just one place behind in 10th was Charles Walsh; followed home by 19th Steven Taylor; 159th Simon Coombes; 167th Tom Bacon and 205th Sian Phillips. Sunday 18th November was also the annual Welsh Inter Schools Cross Country Championships held at Brecon in cold conditions. Our first three finishers in each age category representing their school teams were:

U13G having a great run for BRONZE Mai Davies (Gwyr); 20th Kaitlyn Jones (Bryn Tawe) and 36th Carys Hennessey (Gowerton).

U13B 30th Harrison Garcia (Gwyr);  36th Padriag Pearlman (Ffynone) and 41st Dafydd King (Gwyr).

U15G 12th Ella Davies (Gwyr) and 45th Ffion Hennessey (Gowerton).

U15B 19th Iwan White (Bishopston) and 32nd Aled Tumelty (Gwyr).

Senior Girls 5th Darcie Bass (Penyrheol); 12th Rebecca Martin (Gower College) and 25th Eve Bevan (Olchfa).

Senior Boys NO runners.

British Athletics and Welsh Athletics within the last week have announced those high performance athletes that have gained places on their various funded/supported athlete programms. Once again this year it is most pleasing to see so many Swansea Harriers athletes selected.
