The main highlight of the weekend was on Sunday 30th June in round 3 of 3 in the U17 & U20 Youth Development League at Cardiff. There was a huge effort from the U17/20 YDL team to secure their spot, for the first time, to compete at the regional final in the clubs history. The match will be held at Yate on Sunday 28th July and a top 2 finish there would see them go forward to the UK team final. Congratulations to the athletes, officials & team managers who have supported the team in any of the YDL matches this season. There have been great efforts made by the club in retention of U17 & U20 athletes in the last few years, where drop out rates from the sport are often high, it is great to see so many athletes involved and all this hard work bearing fruit!
