Sunday 6th January Welsh Athletics U13, U15 & U17 Indoor Athletics Open Meeting Incorporating West Wales 800m & 1500m Junior Championships @ Cardiff

Sunday 6th January at Cardiff, CF23 6XD West Wales Junior 800m & 1500m Championship events are being incorporated into the Welsh Athletics Junior Open Meeting, for the U13, U15 & U17 age groups. Swansea Harriers athletes can enter any available events on 6th January, but will only be eligible for medals in the 800m & 1500m.
 
Closing date for entries 12pm Thursday 13th December.
 
Note that age groups are different from cross country therefore age groups at Cardiff are:
U13 Boys & Girls, must be born on or between 01.09.06 to 31.08.08 = school years 6 & 7.
U15 Boys & Girls, must be born on or between 01.09.04 to 31.08.06 = school years 8 & 9.
U17 Men & Women, must be born on or between 01.09.02 to 31.08.04 = school years 10 & 11.
 
Available events on 6th January are:
U13 Girls = 60m, 60m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m & Shot Put.
U13 Boys = 60m, 60m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m & Long Jump.
U15 Girls = 60m, 60m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, Shot Put & Pole Vault.
U15 Boys = 60m, 60m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, Long Jump & Pole Vault.
U17 Women = 60m, 60m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, Long Jump & Pole Vault.
U17 Men = 60m, 60m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, Long Jump & Pole Vault.
 
It is each individual athletes responsibility to enter this event rather than your team managers, note that some events have limited spaces therefore prompt entry is advised before all places sell out.
 
(Medals for the 60m, 60m Hurdles, Shot, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump & Pole Vault will be held in Swansea, at the annual West Wales Championships, over the weekend of 12th & 13th January for all age categories as normal).
