Swansea Harriers Privacy Notice Statement

There are new data protection and privacy regulations coming into effect from 25 May, and it is important that we as a club ensure that we are fully compliant with these regulations to protect and respect members’ privacy. The Swansea Harriers Privacy Notice on the new club membership form explains what personal data we hold on our members, why we need this data and the reasons why we need to process and share your data. We have now amended and updated our membership form in accordance with this Notice and the new regulations.
The Privacy Notice highlights that the primary reasons for sharing data is with our coaches to ensure the effective and safe running of training sessions and with team managers for competition purposes. We do not engage in any marketing arrangements and would not share your personal data for this purpose.
It is important that you read our Privacy Notice and if you have any concerns regarding this then please let our Membership Secretary, Christine McCoubrey know. You have a right at any time to request access to, change or erase your personal data or restrict how it is used or shared.
Our commitment to you is that we only use the personal data to ensure members have the full benefits as athletes of being part of Swansea Harriers and to ensure the effective running of the club.
