Volunteers Required

Training for the U11, U13 & U15 age groups resumes next week, the club has received well in excess of 200 enquires for membership since the Olympics began! For the club to cope with this potential additional turnout on top of our existing membership next week, it is essential that more parents come forward to volunteer their time so athletes can be coached and team managed effectively and safely. Roles where extra support is required are:

1. Team management:- the cross country season is only 10 days away and vacancies still need to be filled to manage the following age groups; U13G, U15B, U17M & U20M.

2. Coaching:- parents are needed on a  regular basis for the new starters Secondary Thursday 7.30pm to 9pm group for school years 7, 8 & 9 to assist the lead coaches. If willing parents who wish to progress can be supported to attend the UK Athletics Coaching Assistant qualification being held at the indoor track on the 8th & 9th December 2012.

3. Administration:- on a casual basis help is required Tuesdays and Thursdays in the club cafe from 4.45pm to 6.15pm to assist taking registers, collection of membership fees & training fees, selling club kit and refreshments.

Full support and guidance will be given for all roles by our existing experienced volunteers. If you feel you can help fill any of these roles please contact Club Volunteer Coordinator Ann Owen at j.b.owen@ntlworld.com or Andrew Jenkins on 078 9457 3555.
