Primary & Secondary Schools Cross Country Fixtures

To participate in any school fixtures, your school MUST be affiliated to the appropriate association; West Glamorgan Primary Schools Athletics Association or the Afan Nedd Tawe Comprehensive Schools & Colleges Athletics Association. In addition a requirement is that a member of staff MUST be present and officiating at the events so their pupild may take part.

Results Round Up From Bedford, Cardiff, Brussels & Exeter

The weekend of Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September saw the UK U15 & U17 Championships held at Bedford. It was fantastic to see five Swansea Harriers obtain the tough entry criteria and then make the effort to make the long trip to compete against the UK’s top juniors.

Satellite Clubs For Year 4 & Below

Athletes must be in school year 5 and above to join Swansea Harriers. However there are three satellite clubs linked to Swansea Harriers with partner organizations, that children can attend before progressing to the club. These sessions provide a grounding in all fundamental running, jumping and throwing activities, making the transition to Swansea Harriers much smoother:

Welsh U11 U13 & U15 League Cup Grand Final at Swansea on Sunday 25th August

Sunday 25th August sees the final league fixture of 2019 with the Welsh U11, U13 & U15 League Cup Grand Final at home in Swansea.
 
Team Managers are restricted to two athletes in each discipline and age group, so gaining selection will be tough. The participating clubs consist of the top 4 teams from the West and top 4 teams from the East divisions.

Sunday 4th August were the Welsh U13, U15 & U17 Inter Regional Championships held at Aberdare. It was amazing to see so many Swansea Harriers selected for their region of West Wales, who dominated the day to win 7 of the 8 available trophies.
