UK Athletics Field Judges Qualification 2/6 6.30pm @ Swansea

What a lot of home matches the club has had in 2016 and there's a lot more to come! The club is looking for more helpers so we can continue to host as many league, cup and championship fixtures as possible. If you'd like to help and be paid in tea, coffee and cake to do so, please read below the details of the officials course which is open to candidates from any club.

Wednesday 11th May was round 1 of 3 in the U11 & U13 triangular series V Llanelli V Neath at Llanelli, despite a small turnout from our teams they still managed to pull off a fine victory, very many thanks to all those who made the effort to support the match it was much appreciated. Highlights included overall winning performances from:

Wednesday 25th May sees two exciting events come to Swansea you can enter on the day for both however online pre entry is strongly advised.

Round 2 of 4 U13 & U15 British Youth Development League @ Swansea on 21.05.16

The second league match of 2016 is on Saturday 21st May for the U13 & U15 teams in the Premier Division V Cardiff AAC V Cardiff Archers V Cheltenham V Somerset V South Wales. Selection will be very tough as the managers can only take two athletes in each event.

Friday 6th May saw the Swansea Harriers School Year 7 Trophy Match with 8 local schools in action it was an exciting evenings athletics. Congratulations to Bishopston Comprehensive School on winning the Boys and Girls competitions and consequently the overall title. Very many thanks to all the staff for sending teams, and to all the orgainisers and volunteers on the night that made the event happen.

Volunteers Needed For Home Matches Please

2016 sees Swansea Harriers host a lot more track & field matches than usual across all age groups. It is the same small band of dedicated volunteers that do a lot of unseen work behind the scenes so that events can go ahead. Even if you can only help at one home match a year it makes a huge difference please, we really need your support thank you. Welsh Masters League (35+) & U15 & over Open @ Swansea on 18.05.16

With more knee supports, aching bodies and kinesiology tape on show than in a physiotherapists convention Wednesday 18th May sees the Welsh Masters League (35+) come to Swansea University. Age groups go up in 5 year brackets all the way from 35 to 90+! This is a great, enjoyable and laid back evening of fun athletics action. In addition the masters league allow guests to participate from the U15, U17, U20 & Senior age groups.

Wednesday 27th April was the Apollo Teaching Services U15, U17 & U20 Afan Nedd Tawe Secondary Schools and Colleges Track & Field Championships held at Swansea University.

Don't miss the closing date (7/5) for the West Wales U13 to Senior Championships at Swansea on 15/5!!

Sunday 15th May the West Wales Championships come to Swansea, anyone can enter in any event this wish subject to the eligibility criteria below. Don't wait to be asked by your team manager to enter, it is each athletes responsibility to do so for championship fixtures.
