Saturday 1st April in the Baisingstoke Open Meeting U15G Holly Cooper threw (24.48m) in the discus for 2nd and in 3rd was team mate Sally Hopkins in (22.31m), their positions swapped in the shot with Sally throwing (9.51m) and Holly (8.75m).

Saturday 25th March was the British Schools U15 & U17 and the Home Countries U20 & Seniors cross country internationals at Margam Park. The day was set off by the West Glamorgan V Dyfed Primary Schools Inter County match.
In hot weather more suitable for sprinters, it was great to see 5 Swansea Harriers gain much deserved international vests on their home patch:

Saturday 18th March was the Welsh Schools National Cross Country Championships held at Brecon. It was great to see so many Swansea Harriers selected for their school district teams.

Your Award Winners From The Swansea Harriers Annual Club Awards for 2016

Friday 4th March was the Annual Club Awards held at Swansea Dockers club. In a wonderful evening organised by Wendy Slade, compared by Ian Griffiths and awards presented by Hannah Brier, that reflected on the incredibly successful last 12 months the club has had. Our congratulations to all those much deserved accolades, the main award winners were as follows:

Saturday 4th March saw the 5th and final round of the Gwent Cross Country League held at Pembrey Country Park, hosted by Carmarthen Harriers, it was a great course and very well organised.

Friday 17th February to Sunday 19th February at Sheffield were the British Universities Indoor Athletics Championships, where the main highlight of the weekend was Hannah Briers GOLD medal in the 60m where in the process broke the all time Welsh U20 and British Universities Championship records in a time of (7.31) and now sits 5th on the British All Time Rankings!!

The weekend of Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th February were the British Senior Indoor Athletics Championships being held at Sheffield. It was great to see a number of our members reach the very tough entry criteria and have a go against the best athletes in the UK.

Swansea University will be hosting another Startrack 3 day Athletics Camp in the schools Easter holidays from the 18th to 20th April inclusive, times are from 10am to 3pm.
