Wednesday 8th June was the Afan Nedd Tawe Secondary Schools & Colleges Athletics Association U14 & U16 Cup match held at Swansea University. In glorious weather conditions there was a fantastic turnout of well over 20 schools. Very many thanks to all those PE staff who were there fielding teams and judging the events a great day was had by all.

Wednesday 1st June was the Welsh Athletics sprints open at Cardiff, with most races having illegal following winds, there were just the two legal performances with personal bests set by Swansea Harriers athletes; U20M Joe Crosby (23.04) 200m and U15B Ben Petherbridge (25.97) 200m.

Wednesday 8th June sees the U14 & U16 Afan Nedd Tawe Secondary Schools Cup Match @ Swansea University. The top 2 schools teams in each section (Not individuals) progress to the Welsh Schools Teams finals at Brecon on Wednesday 6th July.

Wednesday 18th May saw the Welsh Masters League come to Swansea in a fantastic evening of top class athletics action it was great to see so many of our masters athletes participating many of whom are active volunteers in the club too. Unlike the juniors where it is their advantage to be top of the 2 year age group it can be an advantage to be bottom of the 5 year age groups.

What a lot of home matches the club has had in 2016 and there's a lot more to come! The club is looking for more helpers so we can continue to host as many league, cup and championship fixtures as possible. Wednesday 11th May was round 1 of 3 in the U11 & U13 triangular series V Llanelli V Neath at Llanelli, despite a small turnout from our teams they still managed to pull off a fine victory, very many thanks to all those who made the effort to support the match it was much appreciated. Wednesday 25th May sees two exciting events come to Swansea you can enter on the day for both however online pre entry is strongly advised.

Round 2 of 4 U13 & U15 British Youth Development League @ Swansea on 21.05.16

The second league match of 2016 is on Saturday 21st May for the U13 & U15 teams in the Premier Division V Cardiff AAC V Cardiff Archers V Cheltenham V Somerset V South Wales. Selection will be very tough as the managers can only take two athletes in each event.

Friday 6th May saw the Swansea Harriers School Year 7 Trophy Match with 8 local schools in action it was an exciting evenings athletics. Congratulations to Bishopston Comprehensive School on winning the Boys and Girls competitions and consequently the overall title. Very many thanks to all the staff for sending teams, and to all the orgainisers and volunteers on the night that made the event happen.
