There are lots of results to catch up on from the Christmas and New Year holidays:

New Year Resolution

Every Swansea Harriers New Years resolution will be "to keep a close eye on the annual fixtures page, not to miss any more competition closing dates in 2020, so I don't get reprimanded by my coach again!" Ensure that you don't break that resolution in the first few days of 2020 by entering the three championships below now please!

Satellite Clubs For School Year 4 & Below

Athletes must be in school year 5 and above to join Swansea Harriers. However there are three satellite clubs linked to Swansea Harriers with partner organizations, that children can attend before progressing to the club. These sessions provide a grounding in all fundamental running, jumping and throwing activities, making the transition to Swansea Harriers much smoother:

Don't miss the closing date for the West Wales Indoor Athletics Championships!

The West Wales Indoor Athletics Championships for the U11 to Senior age groups are being held at home in Swansea over the weekend of Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th January 2020. There is a closing date of 12pm Wednesday 1st January, late entries are not accepted under any circumstances. This is a great grass roots event with athletes of all abilities taking part, lots of friendly judges and great for those juniors to get their first experience of a "proper" competition too.

Results Round Up From Bristol, Lisbon Portugal, Cardiff, Telford, Loughborough & Boston USA

Saturday 7th December was round 3 of 5 in the Gwent Cross Country League at Blasie Castle, Bristol. Many thanks to all those who made the long journey to support the club. Despite the low turnout where we were only able to field four full teams, however there were still lots of great individual top 10 performances and several teams are still in podium places or very close to them. Our scoring four juniors and five seniors in each race were:

With the Christmas Holidays fast approaching we hope you are excited as we are about this time of year!
Before the big day if any of Santas little helpers would like to pop into the club cafe any Tuesday or Thursday between 5pm to 8pm this can be done in confidence where there is a large stock of club hoodys, rain jackets and other kit available for purchase, just what every Swansea Harrier wants for Christmas!

Results Round Up From Glasgow, Cardiff & Valencia Spain

Saturday 30th November was the U16 & U18 British Schools Combined Events International at Glasgow, two Swansea Harriers were selected for Wales, both in the U16B; Dylan Morgan had a superb day to gain individual BRONZE amassing 3065 points over the 5 event disciplines setting personal bests in the 200m (23.44); 800m (2.17.06); 60m Hurdles (9.10) & Long Jump (6.04m); tea
