Results from the Olympic Stadium test events

Tuesday 8th May was the London Disability Athletics Challenge test event in the Olympic Stadium and the club had 2 athletes participating, F13 (visually impaired) U20M long jumper James Ledger had a seasons best performance with a leap of 5.56m and Ashleigh Hellyer F32 (cerebral palsy) shot putter had yet another personal best of 7.1

Weekend Results

The U13, U15 & U17 National Young Athletes League team got their season off to the perfect start with a victory in the Midland Premier South Division, in a very exciting and competitive day now that all 6 teams compete together. As ever all the athletes did a fantastic job covering most of the disciplines and with several athletes unavailable there is the potential to build on this success for the remaining 2 league fixtures.

Primary Schools Outdoor Athletics Fixtures

The series of West Glamorgan Primary Schools Athletics Outdoor Area Sports and County Championships 2012 will take place from 15th June at Swansea University.

Whitford Point Multi Terrain Race

Each year the club organizes a unique scenic and challenging off track 5.9 miles multi terrain race at Whitford Point on the Gower Peninsula consisting of road, beach and forest trails. Afan Nedd Tawe Schools Athletics Championships

The Afan Nedd Tawe Schools Athletics Championships are being held at Swansea University on Wednesday 9th May 9.30am to 6pm. Full details of which have been posted and emailed to all schools. Contact your PE teacher to see if they are entering teams.

Results Welsh U11 U13 & U15 League at Carmarthen

The weather was better for the cross country so far this year, in very windy and cold conditions at Carmarthen on 28th April the U11, U13 & U15 Junior team got off to a great start winning the match. 1st Swansea 695; 2nd Carmarthen 517; 3rd Pembrokeshire 444, 4th Neath 330 and 5th Bridgend 239.

Sunday 6th May is the U13, U15 & U15 National Young Athletes League at YateThis is the juniors priority league, should you be selected please make every effort to make yourself available. We can enter 2 athletes in each event. There is a bus booked to leave the Brangwyn Hall at 8.30am and Llandarcy at 8.45am costing £8 per person.
