Hannah Brier in the World Indoor Championships
We hope you have enjoyed the first two days of the World Indoor Athletics Championships. Day three Sunday 3rd March sees the Women’s 4 x 400m heats at 11.35am and final at 8.30pm. It was amazing to see our very own Hannah Brier have the honour of being selected in the 4 x 400m squad for her first Great Britain & Northern Ireland vest, along with Hannah Kelly (Bolton), Jessie Knight (Windsor Slough Eton & Hounslow), Laviai Nielsen (Enfield and Haringey), Lina Nielsen (Shaftesbury Barnet) and Ama Pipi (Enfield & Haringey)! We wish the squad the very best of luck, and we are hoping if selected to see Hannah in the starting quartet with the heats and finals being run on the same day.
Hannah first started with Swansea Harriers as an U11G way back in 2007 and has been with us ever since. You can read Hannah’s interview with the BBC leading up to the World Championships here.
It’s a bit tricky to find a non copyright photo of Hannah for our website sorry, so the best we can find for you if you have a magnifying glass, is below, where she is sitting second row 4th from the right between her friends, Ffion Wake and Ellie Coates in 2010 when the squad made the Youth Development League National Final.
