Afan Nedd Tawe Sports Hall Athletics Trial @ Pontardawe Leisure Centre

There will be a squad training session costing £6 per athlete on Sunday 23rd February 2025 at Pontardawe Leisure Centre from 1pm to 4pm. All team members MUST attend to finalise team composition including relays. If you would like to be considered for the training day please email [email protected] for booking information. The Welsh Sportshall Final takes place at Cwmbran Leisure Centre, NP44 3YS on Sunday 9^th March 2025. The final composition of the team will be decided once confirmations are received from those selected and after the squad training session on Sunday 23^rd February 2025. In addition to the scoring events there is a 2 lap non-scoring event for reserves. Please wear trainers only no spikes. The U13 & U15 girls and boys team events are scored separately in each age group and the winning teams from all four sections will go forward to represent Wales in the British final in Fenton Manor, Stoke on Saturday 12^th April 2025.

(6 athletes must compete in one event in each section, with a maximum of 3 athletes from each team in any one discipline. A 7^th reserve athlete will compete in one of the relays and as a non scorer in sections B or C of their choosing)

In track events 1 lap is equal to 2 x 30m lengths of a school gym using turning boards at each end, starting and finish at the centre of the hall each time.

Each athlete is required to pay a £6 match fee. Reserves must be found to be able to field a full team if you are unavailable to compete.

No transport is provided, all athletes must report by no later than 11:30am to the team managers in Cwmbran.

At Cwmbran a county vest can be borrowed for free, however athletes wishing to buy their county vest the cost will be an additional £22.
