Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Newcastle, Pembrey and Loughborough.

Friday 8th September SW Verity Ockenden has an awesome run to with the UK Road 5km Championships at Newcastle crossing the line in 15.26 well below the 15.40 qualifying standard for the World Road Running Championships, well done Verity! Following this Verity has been selected for the Great Britain & Northern Ireland team to compete in the inaugural World Athletics Road Running Championships in Riga, Latvia on Sunday 1 October, congratulations Verity on yet another well deserved GB&NI international vest!!!

Saturday 9th September was the Welsh Junior & Senior Road Relay Championships held at Pembrey Country Park, where in very hot and humid conditions, the club had another successful weekend, coming away with 4 team GOLD, 4 team SILVER and 3 team BRONZE, well done and thank you to everyone who ran! Race 1 U11B our scoring trio were 19th Tomi Jones 23rd Hari Lilicrap & 25th Theo Lewis-Wright, the team score and position is missing.

Race 2 U11G won BRONZE with the trio of 8th Sophia Morgan, 13th Poppy Brannagan & 15th Mali Humphreys.

Race 3 U13B placed 5th with the quartet of Ellis Bennett, Griff Jones, Joseph Newton & Bo Cuthbertson.

Race 4 U13G placed 5th with the quartet of Taylor Shelmerdine, Darcy Gibbon, Aimee Besley & Mia Rabaiotti.

Race 5 U15B placed 5th with the trio of Osian Morgan, Jack Sullivan & Matthew Hines.

Race 6 U15G won SILVER with the trio of Chloe Hartley-Green, Millie Pierce & Holly Humphreys.

Race 7 U17M placed 5th with the trio of Oliver Patterson, Callum Johns & Steffan Higgins.

Race 8 U17W won SILVER with the trio of Sophie Hartley-Green, Ava Davies & Lottie Robinson.

Race 9 SM retained their title with team GOLD for the quartet of Jonathan Hopkins, Dafydd Jones, Dewi Griffiths & Jonathan Butler.

Race 10 SW retained their title too with team GOLD for the quartet of Caryl Edwards, Hannah Williams, Kate Roberts & Sioned Howells.

Race 11 MM35-44 saw team SILVER for the trio of Geraint Williams, Andrew Cleverly & Marc Hobbs.

Race 12 MW35-44 saw team SILVER for the trio of Llinos Jones, Joanna Callan & Lois Woodward.

Race 13 MM45-54 placed 7th with the trio of Owen Davies, Simon Brewer & Marc Davies.

Race 14 MW45-54 won team BRONZE with the trio of Diane Brownhill, Helen-Marie Davies & Julie Hartley-Green.

Race 15 MM55-64 won team GOLD with the trio of Alan Davies, Martyn Hughes-Dowdle & Paul Flynn

Race 16 MW55-64 was team BRONZE with the trio of Angela Delany, Kelly Gipson & Caroline Morgan.

Races 17&18 for Masters 65+ we did not enter teams.

Saturday 9th September SW Verity Ockenden was in action again running a super fast 5000m on the track at Loughborough coming home in 15.21.59 in the British Milers Club, well done Verity!
