Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Pembrey, Amsterdam Netherlands and Bath.

Saturday 14th October saw round 1 of 5 in the John Collins Gwent Cross Country League held at sunny Pembrey Country Park. There was a fantastic turn out from the club with over 100 of our runners taking part, to get the league season off to a great start. The league also incorporated the West Wales Championships and selection for the Welsh Inter Regional Championships at Newtown in November. Thank you so much to all our team managers at doing such a great job at getting so many runners out. Below are our scoring runners and West Wales medallists. Don’t forget all those outside our scoring runners are essential and  crucial team members too as they prevent the other clubs accumulating too many points:

U11B are 7th in the league with the scoring team of 10th Jenson Achilleos, 43rd Tomi Jones, 44th Samuel Petkov and 49th Aeron Hill.

U11G are 3rd in the league with the scoring team of 4th Poppy Brannigan & West Wales GOLD! 19th Freya Cleverly, 29th Lowri Adams & 41st Sofia Morgan.

U13B are 7th in the league with the scoring team of 31st Isaac Mcadie, 40th Jack Griffiths, 46th Griff Jones & 47th Bo Cuthbertson.

U13G are another team in 7th in the league courtesy of 14th Ella Drew, 22nd Lyla Jonsson, 36th Hannah Sullivan & 37th Lucy Li.

U15B are 9th in the league with the quartet of 22nd Osian Morgan & West Wales BRONZE! 32nd Jack Sullivan, 37th Matthew Hines & 47th Deri Jones.

U15G are top of the league! Our scoring four were 2nd Libby Hale & West Wales SILVER!, 3rd Millie Pierce & West Wales BRONZE! 4th Holly Humphreys & 14th Ruby Mills.

U17M no runners.

U17W are 4th in the league with the scoring four of  6th Ava Davies & West Wales GOLD! 23rd Anna Williams, 34th Lottie Robinson & 37th Natalie Coughlan.

U20M no runners.

U20W are 2nd in the league with the incomplete team of 5th Mai Davies & West Wales SILVER! 6th Ella Davies & West Wales BRONZE! 17th Daisy Anderson.

Senior Men are top of division 1 with the scoring 5 of 1st Dewi Griffiths & West Wales GOLD! 9th Dominic Smith & West Wales SILVER! 10th Joshua Griffiths & West Wales BRONZE! 15th Ben Mitchell & 20th Morgan James. In addition M35-44 Matthew Harvey won West Wales GOLD! M55-64 Ifan Lloyd West Wales GOLD! M55-64 Paul Flynn West Wales BRONZE!

Senior Women are 2nd in the league with the scoring 5 of 1st Caryl Jones & West Wales GOLD! 9th Gemma Tutton, 15th Joanna Cullan & West Wales W35-44 GOLD!, 22nd Llinos Jones & West Wales 35-44 SILVER! & 41st Kristy Smith. In addition W45-54 Sharon Leech West Wales SILVER!

Sunday 15th October was the Amsterdam, Netherlands Marathon where we had the two runners Charles Walsh who came home in 2.52.49 and Julie Hartley-Green in 3.47.55, well done both!

Sunday 15th October was the Bath Half Marathon where we had two finishers in Alfie Robinson 1.19.32 and Martin Kearns in 1.36.31, well done both!
