Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Florida USA, Abingdon, Bristol, Swansea, Leamington Spa, Monmouth, Yate, Manchester & Swindon.

Saturday 13th April Joseph Brier runs an outdoor season opener of 46.74 for 400m in Florida, USA in the same week that he was named in the Great Britain & Northern Ireland squad for the World Athletics Relays Bahamas 24 on 4-5 May, very many congratulations Joseph on both counts!

Saturday 13th April U17W Libby Hale runs 9.48.28 for 3000m in Abingdon, well done Libby!

Saturday 13th April was the Bristol Track Club 5km & 3km where the races are held on road, not track as the title may suggest. Three Swansea Harriers were in action with Millie Gold setting a 5km time of 17.16, Bronwen Stratton-Thomas 17.52 and Matthew Verran 15.48, well done all!

Saturday 13th April was the Welsh U11 U13 & U15 League Match 1 of 3 at home in Swansea the weather was slightly less worse than six days earlier for the open meeting! Once again we would first like to thank all the volunteers from all clubs participating who made the event possible, it would most definitely not happen without their continued support. Team wise it was a successful day for the club winning the match with a total of 1293 points, click here for the team standings. We had 95 athletes enter which was great to see, so we can’t possibly, mention them all, so here are our top performers in each age group and gender for you:

Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th April was the Leamington Spa throws festival where U20W Lucy Harris threw a PB of 43.44m in the Discus and M65 Chris Pruski 28.09m in the Javelin, well done both!

Sunday 14th April was the Kymin Dash 7 Mile race at Monmouth where W60 Sian Phillips placed 150th overall and 3rd in her age group, well done Sian!

Sunday 14th April was a Sprints & Hurdles Open Meeting @ Yate where our top performer in age event, and age group were; SW Stefani Karekla 13.12100m, U20M Joseph Beresford 58.48 400m Hurdles, U17M Matthew Hines 15.82 100m Hurdles & 63.67 400m Hurdles, SM Eli Onyewu 52.89 400m, SM Yousef Rabi 11.50 100m & 23.48 200m and U17W Ruby Mills 49.92 300m Hurdles, well done everyone on such a great set of results.

Sunday 14th April was the Manchester Marathon where we have been able to find results for three of our members 23rd Matthew Rees in 2.33.01 followed home by 728th Joseph Tucker 2.56.59 and 4663rd Tina Gabb 4.58.17, well done all!

Sunday 14th April was the Mark Cawte Open Meeting at Swindon where U17W Ruby Campion cleared 2.60m in the Pole Vault and U17W Alice Prosser 2.40m also in the Pole Vault, well done both!
