Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Bedford, Prague Czechoslovakia, Swansea, Exeter, Cardiff & Sollentuna Sweden, including two new all time club records!

Back on Saturday 25th May U20M Samuel Davies jumps a very impressive new personal best of 2.04m in the High Jump at Horspath in the Bedford International Games, taking him to 3rd in the UK rankings to date. Belated congratulations and apologies for missing that performance previously.

Monday 3rd June SM Joseph Brier runs a 46.58 to finish 5th over 400m in Prague, Czechoslovakia, well done Joseph!

Wednesday 12th June was the Swansea Bay Summer 5k Series Race 2 of 3 where in warm and dry conditions our first five Men and Women home were:

Men: taking a comfortable victory was Joshua Griffiths 14.55, followed home by 11th Jack Sullivan 18.20, 12th Alan Davies 18.22, 14th Isaac Mcadie 18.47 and 26th Daniel Thomas 20.09.

Women: stepping onto the podium for 2nd was Chloe Hartley-Green 20.04 followed home by 4th Kristy Smith 20.15, 9th Millie Thorne 20.50, 10th Lyla Jonsson 21.07 and 12th Sharon Leech 21.36.

Saturday 15th June U20M Evan Morris runs 11.07 in the 100m and U20M Lewie Jones throws a 57.74m Javelin at Exeter, well done both, personal best performances too!

Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th June were the Welsh U15 & Senior Championships at Cardiff. It was great to see so many of our members in action up against some tough opposition, well done to all those who took part, highlights included fantastic medal winning performances plus one all time club record, set by those outlined below, hopefully we have our medallists correct for you as it can be a bot tricky to work out with Welsh and Non Welsh athletes being eligible for medals plus some of our juniors competing as seniors, and very well too as you can see.

7 GOLD: U15B Roman Jackson 30.72m Hammer, U15G Georgie-B0 Davies 2.77m Pole Vault, SW Phoebe Brown 40.31m Javelin, SW Libby Hale 4.26.26 1500m, SW Millie Pierce 7.28.82 2000m Steeplechase and Hannah Brier 23.50 200m.

(Note Stanislav Kovalenko won overall GOLD in the 100m in 10.37 just one one hundredth outside of the club record, congratulations Stanislav, Stanislav does not have Welsh Eligibility)

9 SILVER: U15G Lily Mitchell 9.68m Triple Jump and a new CLUB RECORD! U15G Freya Birt 2.67m Pole Vault, SW Lucy Harris 44.32m Discus, SW Lauryn Davey 39.70m Javelin & 14.46 100m Hurdles, SM Dafydd Roberts 56.19 400m Hurdles, SW Zoe Dakin 46.53m Hammer and U15B Alfie Philpott 2.81m Pole Vault.

(Note Jack Houghton won overall SILVER in the 400m Hurdles in 54.01, but also like Stanislav does not have Welsh eligibility)

Sunday 16th June U20W Hannah Kinane beats her own all time club record for 800m running a time of 2.08.07 in Sollentuna, Sweden, many congratulations Hannah!
