Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Cork Ireland, Carmarthen, Ammanford and Wenlock including another all time club record!

Tuesday 9th July Verity Ockenden runs an all time club record for 3000m at Cork Ireland crossing the line in an amazing 8.43.87, beating the previous record of 8.45.39 held by Hayley Tullett since the year 2000, congratulations Verity!

Sunday 14th July was the third and final round of the Welsh U11 U13 & U15 League at Carmarthen. 115 of our juniors entered which was the most for many years! The team did an amazing job to make it three wins from three to finish the season on top of the league table. Thank you to all those athletes, coaches, team managers and officials who contributed to such a successful match and to Carmarthen Harriers on hosting an excellent event. Sunday 14th July was the Amman Valley 10km where Dewi Griffiths had a comfortable victory by 3 minutes coming home in 30.21 over an undulating course, he was followed home by Sioned Howells making it a double for the club winning the Women’s 10km in 37.12, congratulations both! Alan Davies was 18th in 38.47, 20th Jamie Cameron 39.03, 21st Thomas Morris 39.31, 36th Paul Llwellyn 41.26 and 87th Richard Jones 48.30.

Sunday 14th July was the 138th Wenlock Olympian Games where Masters athlete M65 Roderick Davies ran 15.30 for the 100m, well done Roderick!
