Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from, Newport, Exeter, Worcester, Bedford & Brynteifi, including yet another two all time club records!

Belated congratulations to our U20M 4 x 100m relay team who’ve now had their time of  43.89 verified, that was set back on Sunday 30th June with the quartet of Evan Cole, Marek Warzocha, Harrison Garcia and Jenson Morris, as an all time club record, very many congratulations boys!

Tuesday 30th July was the British Milers club in Exeter where U17W Libby Hale ran 4.22.77 in the 1500m to place 4th and U23W Darcie Bass ran 2.16.33 in the 800m to place 6th, well done both!

Thursday 1st August was the Worcester Open Meeting where U15G Hannah Jones ran 5.25.3 for 1500m and younger brother U13B Tomi Jones 5.22.0 also for 1500m, well done both!

Saturday 3rd August our Senior Men & Women competed in the National Athletics League Promotion match at Bedford against the top two teams from the North, South, East and West regional groups. From this match, the top two teams will be promoted to the Premiership. The team did marvellously to place 4th against some very big UK clubs!

Our congratulations and thanks to all the athletes, team managers, officials and coaches who’ve contributed to such a great team across all four fixtures this season, you were magnificent! Individual highlights at Bedford included top 3 overall placings set by:

1st places Phoebe Brown 42.34m Javelin, Stanislav Kovalenko 10.39 100m, Patrick Swan 17.10m Shot, Jake Cover 14.55 110m Hurdles, Joseph Brier 46.54 400m, Hannah Brier 53.86 400m, Megan Carter-Davies 4.36.34 1500m, William Hawker, Dan Beadsley, Marek Warzocha, Stanislav Kovalenko 40.82 4 x 100m and as an added bonus broke their own club all time record they set at home in Swansea earlier this season, what a quartet!!!!

2nd places Megan Carter-Davies 7.13.36 2000m Steeplechase.

3rd places Megan Carter-Davies 2.14.65 800m, Dan Beadsley 10.42 100m, Stanislav Kovalenko 21.38 200m, Kinga Kudzia 10.72m Triple Jump, Kyra Sethna-Mcintosh, Evie Aitchison, Megan Carter-Davies, Hannah Brier 3.59.19 4 x 400m and Steffan Dylan Jones, Harrison Garcia, Jack Houghton, Joseph Brier 3.19.19 4 x 400m.

Sunday 4th August saw Dewi Griffiths take a comfortable victory in the inaugural Brynteifi 10km by over 6 minutes from his nearest rival crossing the line in 33.31, well done Dewi!
