Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Brecon, Pembrey and Deeside.

Saturday 7th September was the Tydfilians Roman Run at Brecon, a challenging 15.7 Mile race elevating over 2000 feet. Jennifer Roberts was our sole runner coming home 11th in the Women’s race in 2.33.13, well done Jennifer!

Saturday 7th September was the Welsh Junior Senior & Masters Road Relay Championships at Pembrey Country Park. It was a very successful day with lots of medal winning teams, a very big turnout from the club and plenty of camaraderie on show, highlights included:

U11B No Runners.

U11G took home the BRONZE medal with the trio of 4th Mollie-Mae Mqueen, 8th Ruby Harvey-Finn & 11th Olive Knutson-Watson.

U13B took home team GOLD with the quartet of Isaac Mcadie, Oliver Cobbold, Lucas Gibbs & Tomi Jones.

U13G took home team BRONZE with the quartet of Poppy Brannigan, Rosie Jones, Gwennan Gruffydd & Emily Evans-Williams.

U15B took home team BRONZE with the trio of Osian Morgan, Deri Jones & Jack Griffiths.

U15G placed 5th with the trio of Lyla Jonsson, Tabitha Ventress-Brett & Hannah Sullivan.

U17M was an incomplete team with Jack Sullivan our sole runner.

U17W took home both the GOLD & BRONZE team medals with the trios of  Holly Humphreys, Millie Gold & Millie Pierce in the A team and Chloe Hartley-Green, Ava Davies & Lottie Robinson in the B team.

In the Seniors & Masters races it gets a little confusing with teams of threes and fours with some athletes running down and age group, so this is where we think we are at:

Senior Men retained their title coming home with the GOLD courtesy of the quartet of Matthew Verran, Dafydd Jones, Dewi Griffiths & Jonathan Butler.

Senior Women also retained their title coming home with GOLD from our four of Megan Williams, Caryl Edwards, Gemma Tutton & Kate Roberts.

Masters Men 35-44 won GOLD with the trio of Marc Hobbs, Ben Williams & Matthew Harvey.

Masters Women 35-44 no runners.

Masters Men 45-54 came home with the SILVER medal with the trio of Charles Walsh, Mike Gleeson & Christian Cobbold.

Masters Women 45-54 matched the men with a SILVER courtesy of Sharon Leech, Julie Hartley-Green & Helen-Marie Davies.

Masters Men 55-64 did the double coming away with both GOLD & SILVER teams, the super six were A team Alan Davies, Ifan Lloyd & Paul Flynn and the B team Martyn Hughes-Dowdle, Peter Osborne & Geoff Robinson!

Masters Women 55-64 was an incomplete team with just two runners Kelly Gipson & Angela Delaney.

Masters Men 65+ No runners.

Masters Women 65+ No runners.

Sunday 8th September was the Menai Open Meeting where SM Jacob Edghill won the Long Jump with a best of 6.40m and U15G Hannah Jones placed 8th in the 800m with 2.34.20, well done both!
