Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Telford, Exeter, Wrexham, Glasgow, Chester and Cardiff.
Sunday 15th September M70 Chris Pruski threw 29.16m in the 500g Javelin at Telford to take him to 3rd in the UK rankings for over 70’s well done Chris!
Friday 27th September U23W Bronwen Stratton-Thomas runs a 3000m personal best of 10.15.8 at Exeter, well done Bronwen!
The weekend of Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th September saw three of our throwers make the journey to Wrexham for the Final Fling throws only open meeting U15B Roman Jackson threw 33.61m in the Hammer and 21.15m in the Discus; M70 Chris Pruski threw the 500g Javelin out to 30.33m and M80 Ian Bowles threw the 3kg Shot 8.44m, 1kg Discus 25.18m & 27.07m in the 3kg Hammer, Ian has had a very successful season or two, now holding eight Welsh Masters records across the over 75 and 80 age groups, well done to all three!
Sunday 6th October Sam Joseph places 69th in the Great Scottish Half Marathon at Glasgow coming home in 1.16.23, well done Sam!
Sunday 6th October Joshua Griffiths had a fantastic run to come home in 2nd place in a time of 2.18.06, well done Joshua! Incorporated into the race was the Wales V England Masters International where W40 Llinos Jones was selected for Wales where she cam home 12th in her age group with a time of 3.25.25 congratulations Llinos on a much deserved Welsh vest!
Sunday 6th October was the Cardiff Half Marathon in wet weather amongst the 29,000 entrants were plenty of Swansea Harriers we think over 40 of them, very well done to all those who ran in the awesome mass participation race. After scouring the results we believe these are our top 5 Men & Women home, but won’t promise we got it correct!
Men: First home in 19th was Jonathan Butler 1.07.20 followed home by 25th Dafydd Jones 1.07.44, 42nd Matthew Rees 1.10.12, 87th Geraint Williams 1.14.54 and 132nd Joshua Morgan 1.17.21.
Women: First home in 27th was Kate Roberts 1.22.34 followed home by 32nd Abby Lewis 1.23.34, 128th Helen-Marie Davies 1.33.44, 170th Kelcy Hooper 1.35.56 and 320th Audrey Alies 1.40.69.
