Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Sheffield, Margam Park, Boston USA, Stockholm SWEDEN and Cardiff including one all time Welsh championship record and one all time Welsh record!
Sunday 23rd January M50 Paul Flynn runs 11.02.54 over 3000m in the British Masters Championships at Sheffield, well done Paul!
Wednesday 26th January saw some 570 pupils participate in the Afan Nedd Tawe Secondary Schools & Colleges cross country trials at Margam Park. The top 12 in each race gained selection for the county team to compete in the Welsh Schools Cross Country Championships at Brecon on Saturday 12th February. Swansea Harriers athletes making it into the Afan Nedd Tawe team were:
Year 7 Girls: 4th Tabitha Ventress-Brett
Year 7 Boys: 2nd Osian Morgan; 5th Declan De-Vulgt; 9th Luca Simoncini & Woody Jelf.
Year 8 & 9 Girls: 1st Libby Hale, 2nd Ava Davies, 3rd Millie Pierce, 4th Chloe Hartley-Green & 6th Holly Humphreys.
Year 8 & 9 Boys: 3rd Oliver Gillett, 6th Oliver Patterson & 7th Samuel White
Year 10 to 14 Girls: 1st Mai Davies, 2nd Sophie Hartley-Green & 10th Natalie Coughlan.
Year 10 to 14 Boys: 1st Morgan Willis, 2nd Ben Sullivan, 3rd Iwan White, 5th Joshua Pritchard, 6th Tesfaye Shugi & 8th Steffan Higgins.

Saturday 30th January SM Steffan Jones runs 22.88 over 200m indoors in Boston, USA, well done Steffan!
Saturday 29th January U17W Hannah Kinane runs a quick 2.12.83 for 800m in Stockholm SWEDEN, well done Hannah!
The weekend of Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th January were the Welsh U15 & Senior Indoor Championships held at Cardiff. Not quite as many members participated as we’d of hoped, nevertheless what we lacked in quantity we more than made up for in quality with the following medal haul:
12 GOLD: U15B Oliver Philpott 2.95m Pole Vault & 1.50m High Jump; SW Caryl Granville 8.46 60m Hurdles; SW Jodi Beynon 11.05m Shot; U15G Libby Hale 2.19.54 800m & 4.39.62 1500m and an all time Welsh age group record, well done Libby!; SW Hannah Brier 7.42 60m; U15G Seren Anderson-James 2.35m Pole Vault; U15B Oliver Patterson 2.15.14 800m; U15G Matilda Quick 10.98m Shot & 1.50m High Jump and U15G Chloe Hartley-Green 11.08.54 3000m.
7 SILVER: U15B Tyler Davies 2.50m Pole Vault; SW Lauryn Davey 10.29m Shot; U15G Matilda Quick 9.86 60m Hurdles; SM William Trott 4.31m Pole Vault; SM Ryan Price 12.24m Triple Jump; SW Donna Jones 10.37m Triple Jump and U15B Oliver Patterson 10.26m Shot.
6 BRONZE: U15G Matilda Quick 4.87m Long Jump; SW Carys Jones 5.03.61 1500m; SM Thomas Payne 6.97 60m; SW Charlotte Campion 10.29m Triple Jump; U15G Ava Davies 2.27.14 800m and SW Millie Carter 3.51m Pole Vault.

SW: Tiffany Rees 63.62 400m; Jodi Beynon 9.18 60m Hurdles & 5.21m Long Jump & 2.28.07 800m; Stefani Karekla 8.33 60m & 28.39 200m; SW Amy Beynon 2.81m Pole Vault and Hannah Brier 24.15 200m in her heat which was a Championship best performance well done Hannah!
SM: Mitchell Lawrence 50.35 400m & 6.36m Long Jump, Mitchells 400m despite being one of the quickest of the day not being Welsh he was not eligible for a medal; SM Kelvin Tannor ran a 7.07 60m Joseph Beresford 54.83 400m; Iwan Slade 3.51m Pole Vault; Dafydd King 3.21m Pole Vault; Joshua Kenny 7.56 60m and Daniel Moore 7.72 60m.
