Results Round Up

This week we have results to round up for you from Worcester, Aberdare, Newcastle, Kenilworth, Battersea, Lake Vyrnwy & Swansea:

Sunday 4th September SW Gemma Tutton runs a fantastic race to not only PB but win too at Worcester finishing in 38.10, well done Gemma that was brilliant!

Tuesday 6th September was the Cardiff Throws at Aberdare where U17W Lucy Harris threw 35.00m in the Discus; SW Zoe Dakin 39.60m in the Hammer and U17W Rebekah Pratt 36.40m in the Hammer, well done all!

Sunday 11th September was the Great North Run at Newcastle where one of our club superstars Verity Ockenden had a superb run to finish 10th in 74.30, well done Verity, also running was Drew Bartle who was well placed up the field finishing 393rd in 82.29!

Sunday 11th September Michael Kallenberg runs a quick 68.35 for the Half Marathon in Kenilworth, well done Michael!

Thursday 15th September SM Matthew Rees runs a fast sub fifteen 5km at the Battersea Park under the lights 5km, finishing in 17th with a time of 14.46, well done Matthew!

Sunday 18th September Geraint Williams ran a time of 74.27 to finish 25th in the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon in Mid Wales, well done Geraint!

Sunday 18th September was the Swansea Bay 10km, 3km & 1km held in ideal conditions the club was well represented as expected in all races:

In the 10km our first 5 Men and Women home were Men: 2nd Dewi Griffiths another of our club superstars, having another sub 30 minute run in 29.36 to step onto the podium and also secure the Welsh Athletics 10km series top spot;  followed home by 7th Matthew Rees 30.50; 11th Marc Hobbs 31.37; 16th Matthew Harvey 32.17 and 34th Daniel Morgan 34.41.

10km Women: Also gaining a podium spot in 2nd after another great run was Megan Carter-Davies who finished in 35.17 followed home by; 4th Kate Roberts 35.29; 8th Olivia Gwynn 37.03; 10th Hannah Williams 37.45 and 12th Llinos Jones 38.47.

3km Boys: 15th Jack Sullivan 11.40; 19th Osian Davies 12.31 and 61st Nathan Cox 17.12.

3km Girls: saw our first GOLD of the day for Libby Hale finishing in 10.16 followed home by 3rd Ava Davies 10.30; 5th Millie Pierce 10.41; 7th Chloe Hartley-Green 10.55 and 16th Anna Williams 12.11.

1km Boys: 7th Bo Cuthbertson 3.59; 11th Michael Powell 4.07 and 15th Oliver Griffiths 4.18.

1km Girls: saw our 2nd GOLD of the day with a win for Hannah Sullivan in 3.43, followed home by; 2nd Hannah Hartley-Green 3.48 and 8th Paige Williams 4.33.
