Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Dublin, Bristol & Milton Keynes.
Saturday 12th November was the 33rd British Masters Cross Country International held in Dublin, Ireland, and it was awesome to see four Swansea Harriers selected for Wales in their respective age groups, showing they can mix it with the best Masters were; in the Men 31st M40 Matthew Harvey; 56th M45 Simon Lewis and 65th M35 Andrew Cleverley. W40 Llinos Jones was our only Lady selected for Wales placing 70th. Congratulations to all four on such great runs and Welsh International honours! Click here for the full results.
Saturday 12th November was the John Collins Gwent Cross Country League Round 2 held in Blaise Castle Bristol, in very warm weather over a challenging course, where a small band of members made the long journey to Bristol, our thanks to all those who did make the effort to represent their club, here is how they all got on;
In the Senior Men first home for the club was Luca Cortellese having a great run for 7th , followed home by 46th Jack Turner; 154th Charles Walsh; 171st Simon Brewer; 189th David Jones; 197th Owen Davies; 222nd Ben Smith; 283rd Simon Merrick and 300th Heath Brett, the team are now 9th in Division 1 just above the relegation zone.
In the Senior Women first home was 14th Sophia Harrison, followed home by 84th Diane Brownhill; 131st Julie Hartley-Green; 171st Jemima Osborn and 182nd Jenny Mcadie, the team are now well placed mid table in 6th in Division 1.
The U11B saw Isaac Mcadie home first in 18th place followed by 42nd Oliver Griffiths; 44th Bo Cuthbertson and 44th Edward Lyle-Williams. The boys are currently 6th out of 43 teams in the league.
The U11G saw Poppy Brannigan finish in 43rd place with Gwennan Gruffydd in 53rd. The girls are currently 13th out of 38 teams in the league.
In the U13G Taylor Shelmerdine was first home in 13th followed by 29th Hannah Jones; 51st Tabitha Ventress-Brett; 59th Hannah Hartley-Green and 69th Erin Penry. The girls are currently 6th out of 39 teams in the league.
The U15G had a superb day with Ava Davies in 2nd; Chloe Hartley-Green in 3rd; Holly Humphreys in 4th and Millie Pierce in 7th – wow! Following the scoring four home preventing the other teams gaining so many points were 28th Ruby Mills; 32nd Anna Williams; 52nd and Imogen Mcadie, what a squad! The girls are currently top of the league table!!!!!
U17M Woody Rees was our sole competitor with a 31st place finish. The boys are currently 10th out of 23 teams in the league.
U17W Jessica Hewitt was 20th and Natalie Coughlan 29th. The girls are currently 6th out of 18 teams in the league.
U13B, U15B, U20M & U20W unfortunately had no runners.

Saturday 12th November was the British Cross Challenge Round 2 & Home Countries International held at Milton Keynes where we had the two runners selected for Wales and another two for the club, up against many of the UK’s top cross country runners. Very many congratulations to SW Sioned Howells and U20M Finley Hines on their much deserved international call ups, Sioned was 55th and Finley 20th in his race. For the club SM Matthew Richards placed 200th and U15G Libby Hale had another fantastic run to place 7th!! Click here for the full results.
