Results Round Up
This week we have results to round up for you from Pembrey, Cardiff & Valencia Spain!
Saturday 3rd December was round 3 of the John Collins Gwent Cross Country League incorporating the West Wales Championships at Pembrey Country Park, where there was a great turnout from the club thank you. Highlights included our scoring runner of 4 juniors and 5 seniors as follows:
The U11B scoring quartet were 12th Isaac Mcadie who also won West Wales BRONZE, 24th Griff Jones; 30th Nicolae Jiga-Boy and 38th Theo Lewis-Wright. The team are now an impressive 4th out of 47 teams in the league.
The U11G team was incomplete with 37th Gwennan Grufydd and 43rd Sophia Morgan. The team are 17th out of 41 teams in the league.
The U13B team was also incomplete with the trio of 8th Sam Rees; 9th Osian Morgan and 19th Deri Jones, however Sam & Osian did win West Wales individual SILVER & BRONZE respectively. The team are 8th out of 27 in the league.
The U13G team four scorers were; 10th Taylor Shelmerdine; 14th Georgie-Bo Davies; 16th Ella Drew and 27th Hannah Jones, Taylor & Georgie won West Wales SILVER & BRONZE respectively. The team are placed a very good 5th in the league.
The U15B team was incomplete with two finishers; 36th Lukas Armstrong & 40th Ben Griffiths. The team are 28th out of 36 in the league.
The U15G team was on fire again with the scoring four of 3rd Chloe Hartley-Green; 4th Ava Davies; 5th Millie Pierce & 6th Holly Humphreys, with Chloe, Ava & Millie taking a clean sweep of the West Wales GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE. The team remain top of the league table!!!
The U17M scoring four were 19th Joshua Pritchard; 25th Steffan Higgins; 27th Gavin Alexander & 32nd Joshua Morgan. The boys are currently placed 8th out of 24 teams in the league.
The U17W team was incomplete with the trio of 11th Sophie Hartley-Green; 14th Jessica Hewitt & 20th Natalie Coughlan, Sophie & Jessica collected West Wales individual SILVER & BRONZE respectively too! The team now lie 6th out of 18 teams in the league.
U20M Finley Hines was our sole representative finishing 2nd overall and collecting West Wales individual GOLD! The team in 6th form 17 teams in the league.
U20W we had no runners.
Senior Men: first home was 32nd Morgan Davies followed by 58th Andrew Cleverly; 76th Patrick Tudor; 115th Charles Walsh & 137th Simon Brewer as our fifth scorer. Andrew Cleverley also bagged himself MM35+ West Wales BRONZE; Paul Llewellyn MM55+ BRONZE and MM65+ Alan Davies GOLD! The team is currently 9th in Division 1 just above the relegation zone.
Senior Women: first home was 5th Sioned Howells, just behind in 6th Gemma Tutton, followed by 17th Sophia Harrison; 24th Hannah Williams and completing our scoring five 56th Graciela De La Funte. Sioned, Gemma & Sophia took a clean sweep of the West Wales individual GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE with MW45+ Diane Brownhill picking up a SILVER! The team currently lie in mid table 6th in Division 1.

Sunday 4th December was a Welsh Athletics Junior Indoor Open Meeting at Cardiff incorporating the U13, U15 & U17 West Wales 200m, 300m & 400m Championships where a relatively small number of our juniors were in action. Highlights included our overall top performer in each age group and West Wales medallists and events as follows:
U17M: Nathaniel Osbourne 12.12m Shot; Evan Lewis 9.06m Triple Jump; Steffan Higgins 55.95 400m & West Wales GOLD;
U17W: Hope Parry 1.45m High Jump and 28.68 200m & West Wales SILVER;
U15B: Matthew Hines 26.84 200m & West Wales GOLD and 46.58 300m & West Wales GOLD!
U15G: Adaeze Emenogu 3.79m Long Jump; Tabitha Ventress-Brett 1.20m High Jump and 30.60 200m; Ruby Mills 48.39 300m & West Wales BRONZE;
U13B: Ellis Bennett 31.30 200m & West Wales GOLD!
U13G: Taylor Shelmerdine 4.15m Long Jump and 28.90 200m & West Wales SILVER; Freya Birt 32.77 & West Wales BRONZE; Luisa Rabaiotti 1.15m High Jump.

Sunday 4th December saw two of our Senior Men run in the Valenica Spain Marathon Matthew Rees came away with a big PB of 2.24.19 and Simon Lewis with a seasons best of 2.38.35, congratulations both!
