Entries for the West Wales Indoor Athletics U11 to Senior Championships at Swansea University over the weekend of Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th February 2023 have been open for some time, it is great to see so many entries from the club already.

EVENTS BY DAY –
Saturday 18th February – Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump & Pole Vault.
Sunday 19th February – 60m, 60m Hurdles & Shot.
WEST WALES ELIGIBLITY –
This event is open to West Wales eligible athletes only, there are NO EXCEPTIONS in any of the events. Athletes must have one of the following qualifications:
A: – Birth; the athlete having been born in West Wales (Dyfed or West Glamorgan).
B: – Residence; a minimum of 9 months continuous residence in West Wales immediately prior to this event.
AGE GROUPS –
U11 Boys & Girls = School Years 4 & 5 (60m, Long Jump, Shot).
U13 Boys & Girls = School Years 6 & 7 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot).
U15 Boys & Girls = School Years 8 & 9 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot).
U17 Men & Women = School Years 10 & 11 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot).
U20 Men & Women = School Years 12 & 13 (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot).
Senior Men & Women (60m, 60m Hurdles, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot).
NB Masters compete as Seniors in this Championship.

Athletes can enter a maximum of 3 events per day
West Wales medals will be awarded to the top three in each age group and event.

[email protected]Note that Swansea University has this year implemented a maximum capacity for people in the venue to comply with new fire regulations. Each previous year we would often exceed the capacity, therefore we have had to limit the number of athletes in each event, in addition we will have to restrict competitors to one parent/guardian each apologies for the inconvenience.
