Afan Nedd Tawe Schools U15 U17 & U20 Championships Thursday 11th May at Neath

The venue for Thursday the 11th of May U15, U17 & U20 Apollo Teaching Services schools Athletics Championships will now be at Neath SA10 7BR. The timetable will remain the same with two omissions, there will be no pole vault and no steeplechase. The Schools Athletics Association has given thier thanks to Celtic Leisure, Dwr Y Felin School & Neath Harriers for accommodating them at such short notice. Note that this is also the selection match for the Welsh Schools U15, U17 & U20 Championships at Cardiff on Saturday 1st July 2023, therefore it is very important you are competing. View or print a program below, speak to your PE teacher to be ask to be considered for selection

Afan Nedd Tawe Schools give their apologies for the inconvenience, this is due to track resurfacing at Swansea University still being incomplete, whilst the contractors only have a couple of days of work to do, this remaining work is entirely dependent on the weather being perfectly dry for the resin and track crumb to set. Therefore, Swansea University very reluctantly are unable to make the facility available to us with the weather forecast for the next week having rain forecast every single day.

The stand at Neath is very small with only room for about 50 pupils, we strongly recommend for each school to bring their own gazebo for shelter on the day if we get the showers that are forecast.
