Day 2 West Wales U13 U15 & U17 Indoor Athletics Championships Entries Now Open

West Wales Indoor Athletics Championships Day 2 Sunday 20th February 2022 at Cardiff, CF23 6XD.

Unfortunately there will be no West Wales Indoor Championships held this winter at Swansea University, as the total track capacity including athletes, volunteers & Spectators is set at 60 whilst the University is under Covid 19 Operations, making the event unviable. However, replicating the South & East Wales regions Welsh Athletics have kindly permitted West Wales to integrate their U13, U15 & U17 Championships within their indoor open meetings, the second of which is on Sunday 20th February 2022.

ATHLETES are permitted to a maximum of 2 events
ENTRY FEES are £6 for one event, £10 for two
CLOSING DATE is Thursday 16th December at 5pm
PLEASE ENSURE ALL ATHLETES SELECT THEIR CORRECT REGION – for us this is West Wales (WWA), subject to eligibility of:
BIRTH:- the athlete having been born in West Wales (Dyfed or West Glamorgan).
RESIDENCE:- a minimum of 9 months continuous residence in West Wales immediately prior to this event.

In addition you must be affiliated to your club & Welsh Athletics to take part.

Events Available:

U13B/school years 6 & 7= 60m, 800m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles & Long Jump
U13G/school years 6 & 7 = 60m, 800m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles & Shot
U15B/school years 8 & 9 = 60m, 800m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles, Pole Vault & Long Jump
U15G/school years 8 & 9 = 60m, 800m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles, Pole Vault & Shot Put
U17M/school years 10 & 11 = 60m, 800m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles, Pole Vault & Long Jump
U17W/school years 10 & 11 = 60m, 800m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles, Pole Vault & Long Jump

U13 & U15 can only compete in 1 distance event 800m or 1500m not both ALL track races are seeded races/heats of one round, there are no finals awards are based on fastest to slowest per region.
