Neal Merry Swansea Harriers Open Meeting Saturday 5th April

Entries are now open for the Neal Merry Swansea Harriers Open Meeting Saturday 5th April at Swansea University.

The first events will be at 11am, provisional event times are listed on the “Start Lists” button above however, the final timetable will be adjusted ASAP after the closing date to cater for the number of entries in each event.

Track Events all races are time trials there are no finals.

75m/100m, 150m/200m, 300m/400m, 800m, 3000m, Sprint Hurdles, 300m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles.

Field Events: Will have 3 trials for U11, U13 & U15 and 4 trials for U17, U20 & Seniors, except in High Jump and Pole Vault.

FIELD EVENT CAP: 16 athletes per pool.

Pools – Long Jump x3, Triple Jump x1, High Jump x2, Pole Vault x2, Shot Put x2, Javelin x1, Hammer x1 and Discus x1.

Age Groups & Events:

  • U11 Boys & Girls = School Years 4 & 5 (Must be 9 on day of competition) 75m, 150m, 800m, Long Jump & Shot.
  • U13 Boys & Girls = School Years 6 & 7 70/75m Hurdles, 100m, 200m, 800m, Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Discus & Javelin.
  • U15 Boys & Girls = School Years 8 & 9 75/80m Hurdles, 100m, 200m, 300m, 800m, 3000m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot, Discus, Hammer & Javelin. Note that U15 cannot compete in both 800m & 3000m on the same day (UK Athletics rules).
  • U17 Men & Women = School Years 10 & 11 80m/100m Hurdles, 300m/400m Hurdles, 100m, 200m, 3/400m, 800m, 3000m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot, Discus, Hammer & Javelin.
  • U20 Men & Women = School Years 12, 13 & 14 100m/110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, 100m, 200m, 3/400m, 800m, 3000m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot, Discus, Hammer & Javelin.
  • Seniors = 100m/110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, 100m, 200m, 3/400m, 800m, 3000m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot, Discus, Hammer & Javelin.

CLOSING DATE: Friday 28th March 2025 at 23:59.
Athletes are only allowed to enter a maximum of 3 events. U15 may not compete in both 800m & 3000m on the same day (UK Athletics rules).
ENTRY FEES: £5 per event. No refunds will be given if athletes withdraw before or on the day.

Volunteers: the fixture is organised entirely by volunteers, we will need over 50 of you on the day, if you can help us out at registration or helping our qualified officials run the events please get in touch, we will need all the help we can get.
