Saturday 13th April Welsh U11 U13 & U15 League Round 1 of 3 @ Swansea

Saturday 13th April sees the first team event of 2024 with the Welsh U11 U13 & U15 League Round 1 of 3 at home in Swansea, just six days after our open meeting. Where we are up against super West Wales clubs, Carmarthen, Pembrokeshire, Neath, Llanelli, Bridgend & TROTS.

Age Groups & Events:

U11 Boys & Girls = School Year 5 – (75m, 150m, 800m, 4 x 100m Relay, Javelin, Shot & Long Jump)

U13 Boys & Girls = School Years 6 & 7 – (100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m, 70m/75m Hurdles, 1000m Walk, 4 x 100m Relay, Javelin, Shot, Discus, Pole Vault, Long Jump & High Jump)

U15 Boys & Girls = School Years 8 & 9 – (100m, 200m, 300m, 800m, 1500m, 75m/80m Hurdles, 1000m Walk, 4 x 100m Relay, Javelin, Shot, Discus, Hammer, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump & High Jump)

A provisional timetable is shown on the images below, this will be adjusted after entries close to fit the number of entries in each discipline.

Athletes can enter up to three individual events of their choosing themselves online here. Team managers select before the day, but enter their relay teams on the day. If you would like to be considered for a relay team please contact your team manager listed below. Note Under 13 and Under 15 athletes can only enter one endurance event – 800m, 1500m or 1000m Walk on the same competition day. Three trials each in all javelin, shot, discus, hammer, long jump & triple jump field events.

We have team managers for all age groups from U11 to Seniors this year, with the exception of the U11G where sadly we have been unable to find them one. If anyone is willing and available to manage them this year please get in touch, they aren’t too much trouble to team manage that lot, the poor kids!

We will need a large number of volunteers on the day for the event to run smoothly. With numerous sporting events taking place at Swansea University on Saturday 13th April, additional parking has been arranged in the Singleton Hospital Car Park shown below
