Sunday 30th June U17 & U20 Youth Development League Round 3 of 3 South/West Premiership @ Newport

Sunday 30th June sees our U17 & U20 team in round 3 of 3 in the Youth Development League, Premier Division at Newport, NP19 4PT.

After the first two rounds the teams are doing really well placed mid table in the league with every chance of progressing to the UK National if they can win at Newport and some other team placings go our way.

They will be in a double header fixture of both divisions with eight other teams:
1. Cardiff Athletics.
2. Cheltenham & County Harriers.
3. Team Avon (composite Bristol & West AC; Mendip AC; Team Bath AC; Yate & District AC).

4. West Wales (composite Llanelli AAC, Carmarthen Harriers, Pembrokeshire Harriers & Neath Harriers).
5. Cardiff Archers.
6. South Wales (composite Aberdare Valley AAC; Barry & Vale Harriers; Bridgend AC; Pont-Y-Clun AC; Rhondda AC).
7. East Wales (composite Blaenau Gwent AC; Brecon AC; Cwmbran Harriers; Newport Harriers; Rhymney Valley AC)
8. Team Green (composite Forest of Dean AC; Hereford & County AC).

Our team managers below will be chasing athletes up over the next few weeks so that they can field a full team. Note that Swansea Harriers is a competing club so you should make every effort to make yourself available if selected. The very best of luck to those selected.

We will need a large number of volunteers on the day to fulfil our officiating obligations and to support East Wales, the host club, for the event to run smoothly. Any UK Athletics qualified officials should email our officials secretary Rob at [email protected] plus any parents, grandparents or other volunteers that are willing and available to assist our qualified officials.
