Sunday 3rd April Swansea Harriers Open Meeting
Sunday 3rd April sees the 2022 outdoor track & field season get underway with the Swansea Harriers Open Meeting, for all age groups from U11 to Seniors/Masters.
Online entries have been open for some time and with over 380 entries made to date, there are only a few spaces remaining with limits on the number of athletes permitted in each event. Enter online here and to view a live list of where spaces remain.
For the meeting to be a success we need all the volunteers we can find in three key areas:
1.Any UK Athletics qualified officials please contact Emma Spacey [email protected] who is the club officials secretary.
2. Any parents, guardians, grandparents that can help in the white pavilion by the 100m start line on registration issuing athlete numbers and pins or selling teas and coffees to fund raise for the club please email Ann Owen at [email protected]
3. Importantly, incorporated into the meeting is the West Wales Officials recruitment & development day. This is an ideal opportunity for your club (regardless of if they are West Wales clubs or not) who have athletes entered to encourage new officials into our sport, ready for the 2022 track & field season. Please can we encourage parents from all clubs to attend. All volunteers will be of invaluable support throughout the season for athletes from all clubs not just your own, in all fixtures whether it be in Welsh Leagues, British/National Leagues, regional or national championships. To offer your help please complete the following expression of interest form indicating which area you would like to volunteer in from timekeeping/photo-finish, field judging, track judging, starting/starter assistant and results. The development day will be led by John Elward the West Wales Officials secretary, a very experienced offical and his team of friendly and expert UK Athletics officials. Any queries please email [email protected]
