U13 & U15 Youth Development League Saturday 5th June @ Swansea
Saturday 5th June sees the U13 & U15 athletes at home for round 1 of the Youth Development League V Cardiff AAC V Neath Harriers V South Wales composite team (Aberdare, Barry, Bridgend, Pontyclun & Rhondda). With gatherings for organised outdoor activities for the health and wellbeing of juniors still so tightly restricted by Welsh Government, it is a very limited number of events available and we are lucky to have any activity at all. Team managers and selected athletes should read the following document in full which includes a new timetable before attending on the day YDL Swansea Event Information & Timetable 05.06.21
We look forward to welcoming the athletes from all teams. As detailed in the event information document, no spectators, parents/guardians or coaches are permitted, only team managers and officials.
In addition for the event to run smoothly any UK Athletics qualified timekeepers, track judges and field judges should contact our officials secretary Christina at [email protected] so that you can be declared on the teams portal and chief judges can start to allocate duties.
Team declarations must be made on the Team Managers’ portal and must be made at least 24 hours before the start of the meeting. For clarification: This refers to declarations for athletes and officials.
Our team managers are:
U13 Boys (School years 6 & 7) Wendy Slade [email protected] 079 22 16 45 62
U13 Girls (School years 6 & 7) Anthony Quick [email protected] 074 77 65 79 58
U15 Boys (School years 8 & 9) Jo Wood [email protected] 079 89 26 83 61
U15 Girls (School years 8 & 9) Catherine Collins [email protected] 079 03 13 77 54
And finally we are extremely grateful to the volunteers who have made and continue to make this event possible behind the scenes, sacrificing many hours of their free time to get just all the paperwork done thus far. Organising track & field fixtures was complex enough before Covid 19, and has now become even more so!
