U17 & U20 Youth Development League Round 3 @ Aberdare Sunday 25th July

Sunday 25th July sees the U17 & U20 athletes at Aberdare, CF44 7RP for round 3 of the Youth Development League V Cardiff AAC V West Wales composite team of (Carmarthen, Neath, Pembrokeshire & Llanelli) V Cardiff Archers V South Wales composite team of (Aberdare, Bridgend, Pontyclun Barry & Rhondda). Note that the Pole Vault events will both be held at home in Swansea also on the 25th commencing at 10am as Aberdare PV is out of commission.

Our team manager is Wendy Slade for the Women and Tony Clements for the Men any Swansea athletes that wish to be considered for selection at [email protected] or 079 22 16 45 62 and [email protected] 079 76 54 33 44.

In addition for the event to run smoothly any UK Athletics qualified timekeepers, track judges and field judges should contact Tony or Wendy so that you can be declared on the teams portal and chief judges can start to allocate duties.

Team declarations must be made on the Team Managers’ portal and must be made at least 24 hours before the start of the meeting. For clarification: This refers to declarations for athletes and officials.

And finally we are extremely grateful to the volunteers from Aberdare Athletics Club who have made and continue to make this event possible behind the scenes, sacrificing many hours of their free time to get just all the paperwork done thus far. Organising track & field fixtures was complex enough before Covid 19, and has now become even more so!
