West Wales Indoor Athletics Championships
The West Wales Region has confirmed dates and events for its Indoor Regional Championships 2024-25 at Cardiff & Swansea.
The following regional championship events will be incorporated into the Welsh Athletics Junior Indoor Open Meetings for U13, U15 & U17 at the National Indoor Athletics Centre, Cardiff CF23 6XD:
Sunday 1st December: 200m, 300m & 400m (other U13, U15 & U17 events on this day are also open to West Wales athletes but not part of the regional championships). Enter online here by the closing date of Thursday 21st November https://data.opentrack.run/en-gb/x/2024/GBR/wajiod1/

Whilst Welsh Athletics organise the days at Cardiff we are obligated to provide as many volunteers as we can to assist on registration and presentation. If you can spare 2 to 3 hours on the day to help us out please email Rob Campion at [email protected] to offer your assistance.

The West Wales Indoor Regional Championships 2025 will be held across two weekends at the start of the New Year.
It will return to Swansea University in January and February. Entries for the jumps will open in December followed by 60m, 60m Hurdles and shot in January. Please note the events on both days, which are:
Saturday 11th January 2025, Day 1: Jumps – Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump & Pole Vault.
Saturday 15th February 2025, Day 2: 60m, 60m Hurdles & Shot.
Age groups for the Swansea dates will be U11, U13, U15, U17, U20 & Seniors (Masters compete as seniors using senior Shot weights and hurdle heights).
ELIGIBILITY:
To participate in the West Wales championships all athletes must be registered to their club & Welsh Athletics, in addition must have one of the following qualifications:
A: – BIRTH; the athlete having been born in West Wales (Dyfed or West Glamorgan).
B: – RESIDENCE; a minimum of 9 months continuous residence in West Wales immediately prior to this event.
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 West Wales eligible runners in each discipline at either Cardiff or Swansea.
