Wow, we have been overwhelmed with the general publics and media agencies phone calls, emails and tweets about Matthew Rees sportsmanship,and Joshua Griffiths Club Record, Commonwealth games A standard and World Athletics Championships qualifying standard, in his first "go" at a Marathon today in London.

The U11 & U13 have set the standard for the older age groups to follow in the first league match of the 2017 summer season at Neath on Wednesday 12th April, by winning round 1 of 3 in the U11 & U13 Triangular Series V Llanelli V Neath with 219 points scored. Round 1 of the U11 U13 & U15 Welsh Junior League is on Saturday 29th April at Carmarthen, SA31 3NQ. You must wait to be contacted by your team manager to take part and be selected, as we can only enter 6 athletes in each event. There is a £3 entry fee payable on the day.

Welsh Athletics are hosting a field event only open meeting at Swansea on Wednesday 26th April. There are entry minimum personal best entry standards for jumps events but athletes of any age or ability may enter the throws. Entries close on Tuesday 25th April at 12.00 Midday.
Jumps: Pole Vault, Triple Jump & High Jump.
Throws: Hammer & Shot Put.
