Summer Term Schools Athletics Primary, Secondary & Colleges

Its fantastic to see so many opportunities next term for athletics in schools. With the Easter holidays a little later this year, the schools summer term athletics matches get underway as soon as the pupils are back in school, key fixtures are listed below. Go and speak to your PE teacher to be asked to be considered for selection for your school team.

Results Round Up From Llanelli, Bath, Neath & Elsewhere

Sunday 14th April saw the Llanelli Half & Full Marathons held in windy conditions, nevertheless there were still some good times set despite the headwinds.

Round 1 of 3 U17 & U20 Youth Development League Premier South/West Division @ Swansea Sunday 5th May

Sunday 5th May sees round 1 of 3 in the U17 & U20 Youth Development League Premier South/West Division at home in Swansea.

Round 1 of 4 Welsh U11 U13 & U15 League @ Haverfordwest Saturday 4th May

Saturday 4th May sees round 1 of 4 of the Welsh U11, U13 & U15 League @ Haverfordwest, SA61 2NX. incorporating the Gerald Codd Trophy Match.

Welsh Masters (35+) Round 1 of 5 @ Swansea Wednesday 24th April

Wednesday 24th April sees round 1 of 5 in the Welsh Masters League at home in Swansea. The good/bad news (delete as appropriate!) is that once you have had your 35th birthday you become eligible to compete as a Master in Athletics. Age groups go up in 5 year blocks all the way to 90+! While off track masters endurance running is thriving there are plenty of opportunities on track too for taking part in the sport.

Open Meeting Results & Thanks To Volunteer Officials & Parents

We hope you all enjoyed yesterdays open meeting, the results will be posted in our next round up, no later than Thursday midnight. We were overwhelmed with the number of volunteers who offered to help out before and on the day, not only from our own club but all those others involved too, the day would not happen without you. If you enjoyed helping out and would like to do so more often, as luck would have it on Saturday 18th May is a FREE officials qualification at Swansea.

Round 1 of 3 U13 & U15 Youth Development League Midlands Premier South/West Division @ Swansea Saturday 27th April

Saturday 27th April sees our U13 & U15 team get their Youth Development League campaign underway at home in Swansea. This is our priority league for juniors where the team has the opportunity to progress after the three league matches, to the UK regional finals, and then onto the UK National final, which they have done so on several occasions in the recent past. Gaining selection for this team is very tough as we are only permitted to enter 2 athletes in each discipline.

Round 1 of 4 Welsh U17 U20 & Senior League @ Newport Saturday 27th April

Saturday 27th April sees our U17, U20 & Senior/Masters team start their Welsh Athletics League campaign to try and defend their Welsh League Champions title from last year at Newport, NP19 4RA.
